New chef joins Dama

Grant Young, Skipper of Dama de Noche is delighted to announce that Juliana Siqueira is joining Dama de Noche for the Mediterranean season.

Cooking is part of Juliana family's tradition in fact they are united by the kitchen! She has sailed since she was 15 years old and by crewing boats on deliveries and expeditions she found that she was very comfortable cooking onboard. She was invited to study culinary arts in Argentina and became a chef/mate/stew in the Caribbean with a colleague.

Juliana describes her profile as a chef who works along with the seasons. She likes using local fresh ingredients. Seafood, spices, fresh veggies and international twist is her trade mark. She likes mixing Asian influences with Mediterranean cuisine, traditional Brazilian recipes with central American ingredients and much more.

Aboard Dama de Noche she will bring to the guests an unique experience and global culinary. From simple daily recipes with international twists to fancy traditional meals from old recipe books. Always trying to combine her skills with local influences!

Juliana is delighted to join the crew of Dama de Noche and continue the first class food and service the yacht has become renowned for.

Handing over to Hef

After a tremendous year on board, Captain Marcelo hands over the reins to Captain Sean ‘Hef’ Heffernan, Marcelo said, ‘Marie and I have had an amazing year on board Dama, with two Atlantic crossings, a winter season in the Carribean and Summmer in Italy/Corsica.  We will miss our Oyster family, but leave Dama in great hands, and wish Hef & Kristy every success for their time on board Dama de Noche’.

Hef said, ‘Kristy and I are thrilled to be working on Dama de Noche.  We are heading to Barcelona for routine maintenance, and are looking forward to our Atlantic crossing to join the Antigua Boat Show 4-10 December, ahead of our winter season in the Caribbean’

Captain Marcelo is pleased to announce that Joel Pollock will join the crew as Deckhand/Steward on Dama de Noche for the 2017 Summer Season.

With the first charter booked in Nice in June, they will head to Italy, and Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and the Italian coast for a fully booked season of charters.

New posts onboard

The owner of Dama de Noche, is pleased to announce that Captain Marcelo Curci Ferreira Vicente, Chef Marie Duviquet and Stewardess Maira de Mederiros Petrella have joined Dama de Noche, and after some extensive re-fit work will cross the Atlantic for the 2016/17 Caribbean season.

Marcelo is a highly skilled Captain, with a lifetime of sailing experience and extensive knowledge of both the Meditteranean and Carribean.

Marie is a fantastic chef, trained by a professional chef from the Cordon Bleu school, and she has developed her own style based on quality ingredients, true flavours, healthy and delicate meals for all occasions.

Each location she visits is an opportunity to discover a new tastes, ingredients and techniques. Recently she has expanded her experience with a sommelier course and has also studied nutrition and diet to include more health and wellness through food.

Both Marcelo & Marie look forward to welcoming guests on board for a first class charter experience.
